about

Max Ridgway - guitar, didgeridoo, percussion, recorded on September 19, 2014. Uluru is a natural rock formation in central Australia, also known as "Ayers Rock". The aboriginal people of Australia regard Uluru as a sacred site and it figures prominently in their mythology (The Dreamtime). One legend tells of ancient spirit beings waging war around Uluru, scarring the rock. There is evidence of a human presence at the site in the form of rock paintings, dating back 20,000 years. These paintings are believed to be a record of the Dreamtime and merely touching them is thought to make connection with the Dreamtime and convey spiritual blessings from the ancestral spirits.
